The best way to experience nature und people in Tanzania!
I absolutely recommend the agency Maasai African Travel in Arusha with Matthew and his team: First, we made the wildlife safari in Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater. The guides have an amazing instinct for the animals, also showed us wonderful spots off the common routes, and gave us plenty of time to observe and admire nature. The visit at the Hadzabe and Tatoga tribe was unique. Then we went on a walking safari: thanks to Matthew and the local guides who joined us along the way, we got closer to the people and their way of life than it would ever be possible on a "classic" tour. We always felt at ease because Matthew guided us so well; we could ask him anything - and he always answered patiently and was there for us whenever we needed him. It was fantastic to visit so many local projects and to see and support self empowerment in the region. The entire team was excellent : the driver at the wildlife safari with his incredible skills at spotting wildlife, the cook who prepared wonderful meals 3 times a day regardless of the conditions, the organizer who took care of everything: the tents, setting the table, improvising a sunshade when it got too hot over the table, carrying our luggage, setting up the washing area... simply everything—and always so quiet, gentle, caring, and calm. Authentisch, einzigartig, wunderbar!
Wir genossen die fantastischen Tage, an denen meine Tochter (14) und ich mit Edu durch Tarangire National Park über Lake Natron bis Wasso unterwegs waren. Als Massai kennt er alles und jeden, weiß um die Traditionen und Rituale und brachte uns an die besten Plätze, die Gruppen von ausländischen Safari-Unternehmen oft verborgen bleiben. Selbst ein Reifenplatzer wurde zum unvergesslichen Erlebnis! :-) Wir lernten auch Edu's Partner Matthew kennen - die beiden bilden ein supersympathisches, junges Team, die mit viel Fleiß und Knowhow ihr eigenes, kleines Unternehmen gründeten. Ich wünsche den beiden alles Gute und viele nette, offene und unkomplizierte Safari-Reisende, die dank dieses jungen Dreamteams unvergessliche, herzliche Tage erleben wollen! A safari experience above and beyond!
We travelled with Maasai African Travel host and drivers for 6 days in Ngorongoro and Serengeti. The choice of lodges, itinerary and activities all contributed to an unforgettable experience. Our host Matthew attended to countless details to ensure that all of us were well-informed, prepared and then welcomed to each night of excellent food and lodging. The drivers brought us to the animals every day with safety and close-ups, leaving us amazed with opportunities we never imagined. The relationships with Matthew, the drivers, with hotel staff and each other were highlights, right alongside the safari drives and wildlife. A huge thank you and highest recommendations for other guests to choose Maasai African Travel! Trip of a lifetime
Wow! Just returned from our Serengeti Safari with Maasai Travel. This trip surpassed all of our expectations. Matthew, the owner of Maasai Travel, was our host and he was incredible. Friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, just a wonderful person. And the trip he put together was spectacular! Accommodations. Top shelf. Our drivers. Great folks and very knowledgeable. The food. Very tasty at each place we stayed. And the animals. Oh my goodness. I knew we’d see a lot but this was beyond expectations. Saw all of the big 5 multiple times. Saw four of them just in the first couple hours of our first game drive. So many animals and we were able to get so close. Saw lions, cheetahs and even a leopard with their kills. Saw a wildebeest being born. Huge numbers of giraffes elephants zebra wildebeest and various types of antelope. Truly amazing. Just completed our trip to Tanzania with Maasai travel. I cannot express enough how amazing this experience was! Matthew is an amazing host, guide, educator and by the end of the trip a great friend as well. All of the details of this trip were carefully planned and executed without a single snag. The safari drivers Matthew selected for our tour were also top tier, with experience, knowledge and friendliness. Every day of the safari was different but amazing, we often had to pinch ourselves to assure we were not dreaming this adventure! Unforgettable trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar.
I just completed a safari in Tanzania with Mathew and his team with Maasai African Travel. All my expectations were exceeded. The team, led by Mathew, were so knowledgeable and expert at spotting animals and answering all our questions. The experiences they planned, like the hot air balloon ride and the visit to a Maasai village were unique and will be among my favourite memories. Maasai Safari and Zanzibar trip
The Maasai crew did an incredible job on our 11 day safari and tour of Zanzibar. The safari was amazing. They handled all the details of safari, travel, ballon ride, meals, othet as well accommodating any individuals requests or needs. Matthew and his team made a big difference with ease of travel. Walking Safari in Tansania, von Massai begleitet das Land kennenlernen.
Die Walking Safari mit Mathew und seinem Team war ein einzigartiges Erlebnis. Wir wurden jederzeit bestens versorgt und fühlten uns, begleitet durch lokale Guides, in den abgelegensten Ortschaften willkommen. Während der Jeep-Safari in den Nationalparks Ngorongoro und Serengeti beeindruckte uns besonders die vielfältige Tierwelt. Der zweiten Teil der Reise führte uns durch bewirtschaftetes Land und in kleine Ortschaften im Ngorongoro Bezirk wo wir den Alltag der Massai und die Gastfreundschaft der Menschen kennenlernen durften. Die Wanderungen und die Übernachtungen im Zelt machten die Reise zu etwas Besonderem. Notre voyage avec Maasai African Travel a été merveilleux. Au delà d’être très professionnel et compétent, Matthew est une personne géniale. L’entreprise s’évertue à promouvoir un tourisme éthique, respectueux et tourné vers le peuple et la culture Maasai. Grâce à ses connaissances approfondies de la faune et la flore, Matthew nous a fait découvrir les big 5 et bien d’autres animaux encore, dans le respect de leur bien-être par le respect de distances et une discrétion d’approche.
