 DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY (ARUSHA) (BB)

Meet at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Mt. Meru Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE (B/L/D)

After an early breakfast you will depart from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for wildlife viewing. Today you will enjoy a picnic lunch and afternoon game drive in this beautiful park. In the late afternoon we will drive to Kudu Safari Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: HADZABE TOUR/LAKE EYASI (B/L/D)

After breakfast we will drive ahead to Lake Eyasi to have another lifetime experience. On arrival you will join Hadzabe people in their hunting and collecting roots, tubers, and fruits. Hadzabe people are hunters and gatherers and thought to have lived in this area for tens of thousands of years.

After a wonderful experience with the Hadzabe people, you will be introduced to yet another fascinating tribe called Datoga. These are the pastoral communities, Nilotic in descendants and the blacksmith tribe in the area. Almost all the metal products such as spears, arrows, and rings that are mostly seen held by the Maasai are made by these people.

DAY 4: LAKE EYASI- NGORONGORO CRATER (B/L/D)

After an early breakfast we will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation  for wildlife viewing. The Crater is  one of the seven wonders of the world  and the cradle of Mankind. Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers about 8300sq km, while the crater covers about 304sq km. The surrounding highlands forests receives  rain almost throughout the year, a factor that supports green pastures for abundant wildlife concentration such as lions, buffalos, elephants etc. It is also a good place to see endangered Black Rhino.

DAY 5: NGORONGORO-SERENGETI (B/L/D)

  After breakfast we will depart for the Serengeti National Park. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa –the Serengeti National Park with it’s endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then we will head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park  featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Serena Hotel.

DAY 6: SERENGETI FULL (B/L/D).

On this day you will have a full day game drive searching for the ”big five” and drive back to your hotel for a hot lunch followed by an evening game drive.

DAY 7 : SERENGETI- LAKE NATON (B/L/D)

This day brings you a road trip through northern Tanzania with the destination of Lake Natron. You will depart from Serengeti right after breakfast. The drive can take up to 6 hours and it’s the perfect way to see the  different sides of Tanzania’s ever-changing landscapes. As you pass the Rift Valley and drive further towards Lake Natron, you will notice the lush green vegetation slowly turning into dry, arid and dusty landscapes. The occasional Maasai villages passed en route become dots in the distant scenery. The further  you travel, the more remains of old volcanoes are seen around you. Among them is Ol Doinyo Lengai, meaning ‘Mountain of God’ in the Maasai dialect. This volcano is one of the few that are still active.

DAY 8: LAKE NATRON (B/L/D)

Hominid footprints and Waterfall walk

Waking up at the foot of Ol Doinyo Lengai is a magical feeling. This morning, put on your walking shoes as a Maasai tribesman guides you on a walk around the shores of Lake Natron in search of the Lesser Flamingo. Lake Natron is the most important and regular breeding site for Lesser Flamingos in East Africa and during the breeding season, Lake Natron hosts up to 2.5 million flamingos. Then we will head back to your hotel for a hot lunch. To complete your day of exploring Lake Natron, you can venture out on a moderate two-hour hike along the western edge of Lake Natron leading to a series of narrow gorges and waterfalls where you can swim and walk behind the waterfall. Quite a refreshing activity after a hot day at Lake Natron, as the area is both arid and wet at the same time. In this day you will also have a chance to visit a Maasai village and learn about their way of life.

DAY 8: NATRON- ARUSHA .

Breakfast will be set for us outside in the morning. Afterwards you have time to take some final photographs of this unique village and the people you met during our trip. Here the tour is over and it’s time to say goodbye with many new impressions in your mind. Your driver will drive you back to Arusha for airport drop off.
